On Sunday, January 3rd, wrap up New Year's weekend by watching everyone's favorite quirky comedian during a Bill Murray
The Suffolk Theater
is presenting a special holiday weekend screening of two Murray classics, "Stripes" and "Caddyshack," on the big screen. In "Stripes," Murray plays a down on his luck cabbie, who after being fired from his job and dumped by his girlfriend, tries to straighten out his life by enlisting U.S. Army with his close buddy, Russell Ziskey (Harold Ramis). After just barely making it through basic training, the indifferent Winger becomes the figurehead of a motley mix of Army oddballs. But, Winger's shenanigans risk a global scandal when he accidentally seizes a military assault vehicle behind enemy lines. In "Caddyshack," which is considered by many one of the best sports movies of all-time, Murray plays greenskeeper Carl Spackler, who is ready to wage a war against a gopher that is terrorizing the exclusive golf course he works at.
Admission is free with a $20 food or beverage purchase. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the viewings begin at 6 p.m.
