The "Found Objects" Show will be an all media art show, juried by artist Jonathan Pearlman, and will run from July 20 through August 24, 2012.

The show will feature artwork created with just that, found objects. From driftwood, to Pepsi cans, to a deer antler, to old computer parts, anyone is invited to drop-off any items to be submitted for the opportunity to be re-purposed into a piece of art. Artists are invited to choose from the collection of items at the Gallery to create their pieces. If an item is selected by an artist and incorporated into a work of art, the piece will credit the person who provided the item. East End Arts' artists will turn dropped-off "junk" into artwork!

Please note: Items cannot exceed two feet in any direction. Any items dropped off must be labeled with a name of the person dropping them off. Items will not be returned. Not all items dropped-off will be used in the creation of artwork. Any items considered objectionable or undesirable (malodorous, etc.) may be discarded at the discretion of East End Arts' staff.

Items can be dropped-off at the East End Arts' Gallery during business hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Gallery is located at 133 East Main Street in Riverhead.

An Opening Reception for the "Found Objects" show will be held on Friday, July 20 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., where guests will have an opportunity to see if their item was incorporated into a piece of art selected for the show. This free event is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The prospectus for the "Found Objects" show will be available at www.eastendarts.org shortly.
