Some guy in a dark green Ford Pickup just dropped a picnic table on Cooper's Beach. That's odd.

the hubs & I were out there last week, walked out to the pilings and jetty on Tuesday 5/15. Ate lunch on that visible bench down there on 5/18/18, fed some seagulls. Never saw us on the camera either day. Regardless, born & raised in EH it will always be home to us.

Guest (Robert Asquith) from Boston says::
To Stan Sherry (below): I agree the view would be better without the Hamptons.com logo, but since this is is a free offering from Hamptons.com, it is understandable. Because there is a cost associated with streaming the video, and there is a limit to how many people can view a livecam simultaneously, your plan to display the cam permanently like a painting on your wall, is not a good idea, imo. Fairness to the provider of the service and other viewers requires one to only keep the cam open when actually viewing it.

Guest (Stan Sherry) from Ithaca, New York says::
I like the scene so much I am buying a TV to frame on the wall like a window. Because I don't want the constant reminder of technology, I will frame it so the bottom with the Hampton.com isn't seen. Is it really necessary to have it up constantly. I will have my window to the beach because of your camera. When I was a kid I used to play on Sunday on Coopers Beach, right where your camera is pointed. There was a hurricane in the early sixties, and my mom drove my sister and I to the parking area to see the waves, just before the hurricane hit. There was some water crossing the road, and guys were putting sand bags on the side of the road. The wind was blowing, and with the sound of the waves, it was deafening. Great memory. I built many a sand castle on that beach.

By putting your cursor in the picture, you can drag the red time line back and forth to different times of day. See sunrises or sunsets. Line goes back nearly 4 hours.

Flash does not work on iPhones. Not sure if it is the interruption or flash on iPhone. It would be great to be able to see beach cam on iPhone, maybe a good time if you are upgrading to make your site mobile iPhone compatible

Hi Everyone- I hope that you are enjoying the beach cam. To those who happen to visit when our live stream is interrupted I can assure you that we are very much aware. Often times it has to do with our ISP. We plan on upgrading our Corner Cam to live stream in the coming days. Thanks for visiting hamptons.com.

Wow. The cam was up every time I looked all summer, but it's down today and there are supposed to be fireworks at Main Beach tonight, at least that's what I read a while ago and made a note about. It's really amazing to see hundreds of people at dusk in street clothes on the beach.

When the Main Beach cam started last summer, I posted that I couldn't see the jetty that lies about 1/4 East of Main Beach, next to the stabilization pipe for Hook Pond. "Hamptons Guy" replied it had been buried by sand. Now it looks to me that the jetty is visible again and looks the way I remember it for so many years. Is that right? How long was it buried for? Thanks for the GREAT cam!
