The Parrish Art Museum is toasting to the start of the holiday season by hosting a Thanksgiving weekend Hamptons Holiday Party + Market on Friday, November 27th and Saturday, November 28th at the Museum.

"I am thrilled that the Parrish has revived this wonderful tradition of a holiday shopping weekend for the community," shared John Bjornen, who was a co-chair of the Parrish Presents committee for more than a decade, and will resume his role for this year's fundraiser. "The addition of a Cocktail Party benefit provides fans of the Parrish with a festive, special start to the holiday season, as their contributions support the Museum's exciting, innovative programs and exhibitions."

On both days, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., museumgoers can get a head start on their seasonal shopping at the gift market, which includes items from AERIN, Calypso St. Barth, The Golden Pear Café, Haverhill Fine Jewelry, Kinross Cashmere, LSC Designs Fine & Estate Jewelry, Naturopathica, and Stella & Ruby. Parrish Members will receive a discount on full price items at the Museum Shop, which will be open all weekend.

Also on Friday and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Museum will offer art projects for children and their parents as part of Parrish's Open Studios for Families, and all visitors are welcome to view the Museum's current exhibitions, which include Connections and Context, the newly installed permanent collection, and special exhibitions Alexis Rockman: East End Field Drawings, and Jane Freilicher and Jane Wilson: Seen and Unseen.

The Cocktail Party will take place on Friday night from 5 to 8 p.m. Guests will enjoy live music from a jazz trio, hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction featuring designer accessories, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind experiences, and book signings by New York Times food critic Florence Fabricant, artist April Gornik, fashion industry expert Fern Mallis and artist Clifford Ross. Other exclusive auction experiences will be available on www.charitybuzz.com, starting on Tuesday, November 24th. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Parrish's year-round programs.

Fabricant, the author of 11 cookbooks and a regular contributor to the Times since 1980, will sign copies of City Harvest: 100 Recipes from Great New York Restaurants. Her latest book includes recipes from notable New York chefs, like Dominique Ansel, Tom Colicchio, Anita Lo, Francois Payard, Ivy Stark, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Geoffrey Zakarian. Mallis, a fashion maven and creator and organizer of New York's Fashion Week, will sign Fashion Lives: Fashion Icons with Fern Mallis, which features 19 in-depth interviews with fashion industry icons, such as Tommy Hilfiger, Betsey Johnson, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and Bruce Weber. Gornik, a Parrish Art Museum collection artist, will sign copies of April Gornik: Drawings, an extensive compilation of her charcoal drawings created in 1984. Her work is featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and other major institutions. Gornik will also sign copies of the 2016 ARF Pet Calendar, which she designed the cover of. Ross, who is signing Hurricane Waves and Seen & Imagined: The World of Clifford Ross, has had his work exhibited widely in galleries and museums in the United States, as well as in Europe, Brazil and China.

Tickets to the Cocktail Party start at $150 for Members. Admission to the Gift Market is free with Museum admission.
