- The East End Classic Boat Society will have a Classic Boat Fair and Maritime Art Show Saturday, July 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine at the Community Boat Shop, 301 Bluff Road (behind Marine Museum) in Amagansett. There is no admission charge.
Many classic wood boats will be on display and for sale on the grounds of the Community Boat Shop. Raffle tickets are being sold for the Sunshine Tender, a classic wood boat being constructed by volunteer members of The East End Classic Boat Society. A new galvanized trailer on display will be raffled off with the boat later this year as part of a fundraiser for The East End Classic Boat Society, a not-for-profit organization. There will also be a nautical flea market.
In combination with the Classic Boat Fair, a Maritime Art Show will be held simultaneously inside the Community Boat Shop. Over 50 East End maritime artists will be exhibiting their work for display and sale in coordination with the Artists Alliance of East Hampton.
The Community Boat Shop is managed by The East End Classic Boat Society, which is dedicated to sustaining the skills and traditions of small wooden boat building and restoration.
