Scoring a tee time at some of the more prestigious Hamptons golf courses can be a daunting task, but with these charity golf events, not only will you get to tee off at some of the most beautiful courses the East End has to offer, but you’ll also be supporting great local causes.
Southampton Cultural Center’s Annual Golf Outing at the Bridge (1180 Millstone Road, Bridgehampton) will take place on Monday, May 14. The morning begins at 9 a.m. with a continental breakfast and 10 a.m. shotgun start. Cocktails and an Awards Reception will follow. Admission is $600 per player – which includes golf, a caddy, prizes and entry to the Cocktail Awards Reception. Carts will be available only for those 65-years-old or older. Two golf events will take place at Sebonack Golf Club (405 Sebonac Road, Southampton) on Tuesday, May 22. First, it’s Quogue Wildlife Refuge’s “Golfing with the Owls” – which begins at 7:30 a.m. with the opening of the driving range and a continental breakfast. Southampton Historical Museum’s Sebonack Golf Club Tournament will also take place on Tuesday, May 22. Registration opens at 12 p.m., as does lunch, and the shotgun start is at 1:30 p.m. Attendees may “play their own ball,” and the lowest score will be awarded a trophy. Later on in the evening, a Cocktail Party will be hosted in honor of the Museum, with proceeds supporting the Museum’s mission of preserving and promoting Southampton’s history and culture. The party will begin at 6 p.m. and admission is $175. The entry fee for the Tournament is $750 per person – which includes access to the Cocktail Party. The 20th Annual Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic, which raises money and
awareness for not-for-profits that focus on cancer prevention, care and research, will take place at Atlantic Golf Club (1040 Scuttle Hole Road, Bridgehampton) on Monday, June 4. The event will begin at 10 a.m. with registration and lunch, followed by a 12 p.m. shotgun start. A cocktail hour will commence at 4:30 p.m. and the awards dinner and live auction gets underway at 5:30 p.m. This year participants will be offered a very special opportunity, the chance to pose with the U.S. Open Championship Trophy. Guild Hall’s Golf Outing at Maidstone Club (50 Old Beach Lane, East Hampton) will take place on Thursday, June 7. Registration opens at 11 a.m., which is also when players will have the opportunity to practice. Attendees will enjoy lunch on the Clubhouse veranda overlooking the ocean at 12 p.m., and the shotgun start is at 1 p.m. Once the last putt has been sunk, it’ll be time for cocktails on the Clubhouse veranda, followed by dinner and the awards ceremony.
