Two time Men’s Health cover star Brian Mazza is showcasing his signature HPLT: High-Performance Lifestyle Training in the Hamptons this summer.
Mazza will lead a special HPLT class at the Clubhouse, the Topping Rose House’s new outdoor socially distant fitness collective featuring notable workout gurus, on Sunday, August 9 at 9:00 a.m.
We spoke with Mazza about his High-Performance Lifestyle Training, daily fitness routine, the Hamptons, and more.
As someone who has always been highly competitive, and even earned a scholarship to play Division 1 Soccer at The University of Rhode Island, what does your daily fitness routine look like and how has it evolved over the years?
BM: Over the years, I was able to become more dialed in and be consistent. Consistency is very important if you want to see results and continue to see results. I run 4-8 miles every single day as well as do bodyweight or weight training sessions.
Has the pandemic impacted the way you workout?
BM: I used the pandemic to get more focused because I knew that this could really be detrimental to my personal growth and progress.
What sparked the inspiration behind HPLT: High-Performance Lifestyle Training?
BM: I wanted to create a community where people had access to the very best high performers in the world. Our community consists of people that really want to be their very best 24/7 and I selfishly love being part of that journey. There is nothing better than seeing how impactful HPLT can be in less than 24 hours.
What does a typical HPLT workout look like and what will the Clubhouse session include?
BM: A typical session consists of getting your heart rate up and down for an extended period of time and never allowing yourself to get comfortable, because we know being uncomfortable is the only way to grow. The Clubhouse session is going to be really fun and accessible to anyone who wants to get a great sweat in. We will be making sure the core is on fire.
You recently launched the Brian Mazza App. Tell us about the new platform.
BM: The new app is very special to me because I give all of my subscribers access to workouts, nutrition, and my grocery list. I wanted everyone to get an inside look at what has worked for me, and hopefully, they can see the results they want.
When in the Hamptons, how do you like to spend your time?
BM: I had a nightclub and restaurant in the Hamptons for years, so I spent the majority of my 20’s working every summer. Now it’s time for runs, workouts, family and friends time. The Hamptons will always be a special place for me.
