Fhitting Room, a boutique NYC-based HIIT studio, is once again bringing its SignatureFHIX (Functional High Intensity Mix) class to the Hamptons for the season. The sessions – which encompass functional movements, high-intensity intervals, strength training, assorted exercises and a total-body focus – will be held outdoors at The Clubhouse Hamptons in East Hampton.
“We are thrilled to be taking up a residence at The Clubhouse Hamptons in East Hampton for the summer and have put great thought and care into creating our safety protocols,” Kari Saitowitz, Fhitting Room Founder, relayed. “We want to ensure that everyone is safe and free to enjoy 45-minutes of health, heart and happiness delivered in the form of a Fhitting Room class.”
The East Hampton outpost will adhere to strictly enforced safety protocols. Those include: “Everyone’s temperature will be checked upon arrival (including our team); anyone with a reading exceeding 100.4 degrees will not be permitted to stay; A mask must be worn upon arrival and in accordance with New York State and CDC guidelines; all Fhitting Room team members will be wearing masks as required by New York State, Bring your own towel, mat, and water if you please. None of these items are required, but none will be provided either, Spots will be clearly marked per CDC and New York State social distancing guidelines; after check-in, please go directly to any available spot and chill (or stretch) there until class begins, High alcohol content hand sanitizer will be available and must be used upon arrival by all class participants, All cues and form correction will be contactless.”
Signature FHIX, which is open to all fitness levels, combines HIIT, cardio, and strength training to maximize results. At the summer residency, no equipment will be needed.
“All classes are BYO (Bring Your Own) mat and towel, and participants may bring their own dumbbell or kettlebell if they’d like, although no equipment is required,” Saitowitz noted. “Guests can expect to find their spot clearly marked and safely distanced from the others, to have their temperature taken, and to have access to a dedicated bathroom for Fhitting Room members only, hand sanitizer and cleaning products, all of which meet CDC and WHO guidelines.”
Classes are $50. Water and other sips will be available for purchase on-site.
The Fhitting Room’s East Hampton classes will begin on Saturday, July 18. Workouts will be held on Fridays at 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., as well as Saturdays at 8:45 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
