Ross Elected President - New York State Podiatric Medical Association

Greenport - Robin C. Ross, DPM, FACFAS, an active member of the medical staff at Eastern Long Island Hospital, was elected President of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association (NYSPMA). Dr. Ross, the first female president in the 115 year history of NYSPMA, took the oath of office at the organization's annual House of Delegates meeting. She was sworn in by her husband,
Dr. Frank Spinosa, a past president of NYSPMA.

Paul J. Connor III, President/CEO. "Dr. Ross and Dr. Spinosa were both appointed to the medical staff in 1995 and share a podiatry practice on Shelter Island."
Dr. Ross's board certifications include the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and Podiatric Orthopedics of the American Board of Orthopedics. Educated at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Ross is often interviewed for her expertise on foot-related topics, and has been quoted in many nationally syndicated publications including
American Health, Ladies Home Journal, McCall's Magazine, Mademoiselle, Self Magazine, Redbook, Backpacker's Magazine, Men's Health Magazine, Living Well Magazine and others. In addition, Dr. Ross has authored numerous medical abstracts and articles specific to her specialty.
