Naomi Watts – who walked the Met Gala red carpet alongside Stella McCartney and Kate Hudson – looked absolutely radiant at the “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between” Costume Institute Gala, and luckily for you, Mary Wiles, and the creative genius behind the stunning look, has shared her step-by-step instructions below:
“To prep Naomi’s skin I first put the Decléor Aurabsolu Instant Glow Hydrogel Mask on her. This made her skin so radiant,” noted Mary Wiles. “Right after I used a few drops of Decléor’s Aromessence Neroli Hydrating Oil Serum, lightly massaging onto Naomi’s face and neck, spreading it evenly and letting the oil absorb into the skin. This is the secret to her dewy and luminous look.”
After skincare was addressed, it was time to tackle makeup. “As the oil was absorbing, I got to work on a smoky, silver grey eye with a dash of glitter to complement the diamonds on her stunning Stella McCartney dress. I used L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hour Eye Shadow in 999 Eternal Black on the outer eye, and 755 Gilded Envy on the inner eye. I did a few coats of Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes in black, and also accented with individual Ardell double flare lashes. I paired this with Metier de Beaute black liner on the top lid,” noted Wiles. “Once the oil was set, I finished off her skin with Lancome Teint Miracle Radiant Foundation in Bisque 2 and Lancome Effacernes Undereye Concealer in Light Bisque. Lancome Translucence Ivoire 150 powder was used to set the look. Her brows were kept natural, as most of the focus was on her smoky eye.”
All that was missing was blush and a lip color. “I finished with a pink sheer lip using Chanel Ultra Wear Lip Colour in Merry Rose and a cool pink blush using Metier de Beaute in Mystique,” noted Wiles.
