Nicole Kidman also mixed the embellishment and cutout trends with an Alexander McQueen gown.

It was an emotional night for Jodie Foster who brought the crowd to tears during her speech where she announced her coming out for the first time in public. Foster was on-trend in an embellished blue Giorgio Armani gown.

Dresses with volume whether it be a princess or mermaid cut were huge on the red carpet. Zooey Deschanel stood out in a princess cut Oscar de la Renta sweetheart gown.
