Southampton - On Saturday May 19, 2012 Lu Berry held the launch for The World Cup Inaugural: Swimsuit Edition by Lu Berry swim collection and after party at 75 Main. The launch began with a cover performance of Adele's Rolling in the Deep by Britt . Local models from Southampton, Amagansett, East Hampton, Manorville, and East Quogue then strutted their stuff on the runway while showing of the Lu Berry 2012 swim collection.

Special guest DJ Harold Tellez traveled all the way from Bogota, Colombia to spin at the event, while DJ Lore Loud spun during the after party. Models looked beach ready with hair styled by Ricardo Rojas and makeup done by Jennifer Vola.

The inspiration for the line is Berry's home country Colombia. She visits Colombia once a year to draw inspiration from Colombia's beautiful surroundings like the Fauna Flora, mountains and tropical weather. For this line Berry wanted to create luxurious femininity by using alluring, flattering silhouettes and create a sophisticated balance between elegance and seduction.

Most of the bathing suits from the line are seamless and reversible with buckles. The World Cup Inaugural: Swimsuit Edition By Lu Berry can be found at Therapy Clothing (77 Jobs Lane, Southampton), Biba (40 Hill Street, Southampton), and Smith (28 Nugent Street, Southampton) or on Lu Berry's website (www.luberry.com).
