I lived in Southampton longer than I lived anywhere else continuously in my fairly long life. It was home, and I love the light of late afternoon on the beach of late autumn. It is sublime. I miss those lonely walks in the chill breeze, and back to a warm fire!. So glad this cam is here to let me take a look back now and again.

Dear Hamptons guy The best location for the cameras would be a view looking east and another west from the poniguoge bridge. Another location that was used in the past was on the tower at the inlet which could provide views looking out to sea and another looking north or into the bay. We fisherman and water sports folks would be able to see sea conditions prior to venturing out which would give an extra benefit and increase safety . A true community service.

I second a cam by shinnecock inlet. From the HB side prking lot looking east to capture fisherman on jettys, boat traffic, and in summer the state park RV action. Thank you for the Cams!
