TGIF Because It’s National Margarita Day

You'd think that National Margarita Day would be in the midst of summer, but it's actually on Friday, February 22. So break out the tequila and celebrate.

Jalapeño Avocado Margarita:

 • 2.5 oz. Chamucos Diablo Blanco
 • 2 oz. Agave Nectar (cut 50/50 with water)
 • 2 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
 • 1/2 Avocado, peeled and mashed
 • 2 slices Jalapeño
 • 2 Cilantro Sprigs, plus extra for garnish
 • Lime Wheels, for garnish
 • 1 cup Ice, plus extra for serving

Directions: Place ripe avocado, cilantro, and jalapeño slices in a cocktail shaker. Muddle ingredients until thoroughly mashed. Add remaining ingredients to the shaker and shake vigorously. Strain the cocktail into two rocks glasses filled with ice, and garnish with remaining cilantro sprigs and lime wheels.

Cilantro Margarita: (Created by Jaime Salas, National Milagro Ambassador)

 • 2 parts Milagro Anejo
 • 1 part Fresh Lime Juice
 • 3/4 part Agave Nectar
 • Fresh Cilantro
 • Lime Wheel, for garnish
 • Smoked Salt, for garnish

Directions: Pour all ingredients into a Boston shaker, shake and strain over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with lime wheel, cilantro, smoked salt rim.

Pina-Rita: (Available at The Bar Room)

 • .50 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
 • .50 oz. Coconut Syrup (1:1 Cane Sugar to Coconut Water)
 • .75 oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice
 • 1.5 oz. Volcan Blanco Tequila

Directions: Shake and double strain before serving in a rocks glass rimmed glass with dehydrated coconut milk & volcanic black salt. Garnish with a dehydrated pineapple.

1800 Margarita:

 • 2 oz. 1800 Silver
 • 1 oz. Lime Juice
 • 1/2 oz. Agave Syrup
 • 1/2 oz. Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
 • Lime Wedge, for garnish

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a shaker, shake and strain into salted Rocks glass. Garnish with Lime Wedge.

Avión Peach Margarita:

 • 2 parts Avión Silver
 • 2 parts Peach Puree
 • 1 part Lime Juice
 • 1/2 part Agave Nectar
 • Peach Wedge, for garnish

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a blender with ice and blend until smooth. Pour over fresh ice and garnish with a peach wedge.
