Toast To National Rum Day With These Tropical Treats

With the countdown to Labor Day weekend started, it's time to savor every last moment of summer. So break out the rum because National Rum Day (Wednesday, August 16) is here.

Sailor Jerry Sangria:

 • 1 1/2 parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
 • 1/2 cup Sugar
 • 2 parts dry Red Wine
 • 1 part Orange Juice
 • 1 Lemon
 • 1 Lime
 • 1 Orange

Directions: Chill all ingredients. Slice citrus into thin rounds and place in a large pitcher with Sailor Jerry and sugar. Chill for 2 hours to develop flavors. When ready to serve, crush fruit with a wooden spoon and stir in wine and orange juice. Serve topped with lemon-lime soda.

Serves 4 to 6
 • 8 parts Cruzan® Tropical Fruit Rum
 • 8 parts Coconut Water

 • 2 parts Pineapple Juice

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail bucket or punch bowl and stir for 30 seconds with a swizzle stick. Fill bucket with fresh ice, stir once more and garnish with fresh pineapple, four straws, and enjoy!

Mango Mai Tai:

 • 1/2 oz. Don Papa Rum
 • 1/2 oz. fresh Lime Juice
 • 1/2 oz. Orgeat Syrup
 • 1 oz. Mango Nectar
 • Sprig of fresh Mint, for garnish
 • Lime shell, for garnish

Directions: Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with 2 cups of crushed ice. Shake well. Pour everything (do not strain) into glass. Garnish with a lime shell sunk into the ice and a sprig of fresh mint.
