Raise A Glass To Cinco de Mayo With These Tequila Based Concoctions

Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday this year, so how can you not celebrate?

Nervous Breakdown Margarita:

 • 3 oz. of Keith's Nervous Breakdown Margarita Mix
 • 2 oz. of Premium Blanco Tequila
 • 1 oz. of Cointreau
 • Salt
 • Lime wedge, for garnish
 • Orange wedge, for garnish

Directions: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add mix, tequila, and Cointreau. Pour into chilled glass with salted rim. Garnish with wedges of fresh lime and orange.

Pepe Pino:

 • 1.5 oz. Peloton de la Muerte mezcal
 • 1/2 oz. Green Chartreuse
 • 3/4 oz. Lime Juice
 • 1 Cucumber Puree
 • 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
 • Chilli Rum, for garnish

Directions: Put all ingredients and shake vigorously for 2 minutes until drink is creamy. Strain and serve up.

 • 1 part Hornitos® Plata Tequila
 • 1/2 part Coconut Water
 • 1/2 part Almond Milk
 • Cinnamon
 • Sugar

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a shot glass rimmed with cinnamon and sugar.

Sunrise with Maria:

 • 2 oz. Avión Reposado
 • 1 oz. Agave Nectar
 • 1 oz. POM Juice
 • .5 oz. fresh Lime Juice
 • 5-8 Thyme Sprigs

Directions: Combine all. Shake until cold. Pour over ice into a rocks glass and garnish with 1 thyme leave from the shake.

Montelobos Picador:

 • 2 parts Montelobos Mezcal
 • 1 part fresh Lime Juice
 • 1/2 part Simple Syrup

Directions: Combine ingredients over ice and shake well. Serve over fresh ice in a rocks glass with a salt & black pepper rim and orange slice.

 • 2 oz. Snowbirds Grüner Veltliner
 • 1 oz. Melon Liqueur
 • 1/2 oz. Blanco Tequila
 • 1/2 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
 • Juice of 1/2 lime
 • Sugar
 • Splash Soda
 • Lime or melon, for garnish

Directions: Rim a chilled glass with lime and sugar. Pour all liquids except wine into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Squeeze in lime. Shake well, strain into glass. Stir in the wine, top with a splash of soda. Garnish with a skewer of melon.

Cuervo Tequila Sunrise:

 • 1 part Jose Cuervo Especial® Silver
 • 2 parts Orange Juice
 • 1 tsp Grenadine
 • Orange wedges, for garnish
 • Maraschino Cherries, for garnish

Directions: In glass, add ice, 1 part Jose Cuervo Especial® Silver and 2 parts orange juice. Stir. Slowly pour in 1 tsp of grenadine. Garnish with orange wedge and cherry.
