Craft beer aficionados are in for a real tasty treat this winter as Indian Wells Tavern in Amagansett is introducing a new monthly series that will focus on breweries that boast unique, small batch brews.
The Craft Beer Series launch, on Friday, January 25 at 9 p.m., features sips from the East End’s own Montauk Brewing Company, as well as Maine Beer Company of Freeport, and Grimm Artisanal Ales of Brooklyn.
“We are thrilled that the craft beer movement is alive and well on the East End,” Vaughan Cutillo, Montauk Brewing Company Co-Founder, shared. “There are several ‘craft-centric’ places to enjoy local beers and it is great to be a part of this event at Indian Wells Tavern.”
The Craft Beer Tap Night will offer the chance to taste highly sought after and exclusive varieties, for just one night only, from the highlighted breweries. Each beer will cost $6 and representatives from the beer companies will be onsite to answer questions about the brews.
“These breweries are becoming staples in their own communities,” Ryan Sherman of Indian Wells Tavern explained. “Outstanding quality beer from local craft brewers. Bringing uniquely crafted beer together with the combination of two great local year round eateries with local music around familiar faces.”
Additionally, attendees will enjoy complimentary bites from Indian Wells Tavern and Smokin’ Wolf BBQ, prize giveaways throughout the night, and live entertainment by Joshua Brussell.
“We want to represent the reward of craft in our lives as a tribute to the local communities we represent. Locals supporting locals, not by town, but by quality, community and craft,” Sherman relayed. “These exclusive beers are also very hard to come by on tap all the way out here in the Hamptons. Usually these are the kinds of beers you’d see at a real taphouse in the city. We want to spread the awareness of craft quality and help those understand good beer.”
The first 30 guests to arrive will receive a Montauk Brewing Company goodie bag.
“The winds are blowing and the direction is Craft,” Sherman added.
There is no fee to attend, however attendees must be at least 21-years-old.
