New York City - On Tuesday, April 10, "Parks & Recreation" actor and devoted craftsman Nick Offerman hosted the premiere of "Handmade: A Celebration of American Craftsmanship," a roadshow documentary presented by The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Offerman, "The Whisky Loving MC" was on hand to kick-off the launch of the 2012 Balvenie Rare Craft Roadshow, a nationwide search for the craftsmen and artisans across America who maintain a dedication to the practice and preservation of traditional crafts.

In his rousing address to 150 guests, Offerman shared that long before his days of playing Ron Swanson, he was honed into a true craftsman by skilled artisans in his family and shared personal stories from his California workshop - Offerman Woodshop. After the screening, Offerman moderated a panel with Director Rob Meyer, Balvenie Malt Master David Stewart, Brand Ambassadors Nicholas Pollachi and Andrew Weir and craftsmen Joel Voisard.

"The Balvenie is the most delicious single malt scotch whisky, a jewel in its field. It is even more wonderful that I have now discovered that they not only make it hand, but they have a wizard malt master in their basement who specialize in potion and whose magic is profound. After a long, sweaty day of working in my shop nothing tastes better than the first sip of whisky and knowing this whisky is made by a wizard - I am tickled," statd Offerman
