Hen of the Woods is set to offer up a tasty array of unique, responsibly sourced, gourmet pantry staples to Southampton shoppers. Located within La Parmigiana, the specialty market will focus on seasonal, out-of-the-ordinary ingredients sourced from local and small purveyors.
“It’s very exciting to be able to support local purveyors and bring their incredible offerings to the Hamptons community,” Jonathan Bernard, Hen of the Woods Co-owner, shared. “We’re so pleased with the response we’ve had thus far during our soft opening. We’re looking forward to expanding our product selection over the next few months.”
“Thank you to everyone who visited us during our soft opening. It’s been such a pleasure to meet our neighbors,” added Suzy Yang, Hen of the Woods Co-owner. “I’m beyond excited to share our quality and responsibly sourced products with you all.”
Since Bernard, a farmer and forager, is a mushroom expert, there will be plenty of fungi – and there will also be unique Asian ingredients that Yang counts as staples. Hen of the Woods will feature an extensive collection of exotic produce and culinary items – like Santa Barbara uni, spiny lobsters, and other sustainable seafood from Sea Stephanie Fish, scallops from Montauk from Scola’s Scallops, French handmade butter from Bordier Butter, Little Fork Vinegar, hand crafted knives made in East Hampton from DP Knives, and much more.
Hen of the Woods will officially open on Saturday, May 1. The store will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
