Long Island Restaurant Week is closing out April by presenting the annual Spring iteration. From Sunday, April 25 to Sunday, May 2, many Long Island eateries will offer several prix fixe options, starting at $20.
“This year, judging by the signups, spring restaurant week may herald the beginning of a return to normalcy noting that we all need to keep up the safety protocols,” stated Steve Haweeli, Long Island Restaurant and Hospitality Group President, which organizes the week.
Participating restaurants may offer a $20 two course lunch, a $25 three-course dinner menu, a $35 three-course dinner menu, a $42 three-course dinner prix fixe or multiple dining deals throughout the promotion.
On the East End, Spring Long Island Restaurant Week will be available at A Lure in Southold, aMano in Mattituck, Legends Restaurant in New Suffolk, On The Docks in Aquebogue, Shippys Pumpernickels Restaurant East in Southampton, The Preston House & Hotel in Riverhead, and Union Sushi & Steak in Southampton.
“We are once again very excited to be participating in Long Island Restaurant Week,” Ian Duke, Union Sushi & Steak Owner, shared. “I think that this one has the potential to be the best one ever.”
“With so many people getting vaccinated, a reduction of people’s fears and a genuine excitement to return to some form of normalcy we really are anticipating a great eight days,” Duke added. “Reservations have been pouring in and well ahead of schedule.”
Many eateries will be featuring special menus created exclusively for Restaurant Week. “We enjoy doing Restaurant Week here at The Preston House and Hotel as it gives new guests an opportunity to come in and try a menu that they wouldn’t necessarily try on the regular due to being thought of as more of that fine dining restaurant,” said Jennifer Petrocelli, The Preston House Executive Director. “Our chef creates a menu to appeal to casual diners or those looking to celebrate an occasion.”
Petrocelli continued, “Long Island Restaurant Week is our opportunity to show guests just that at a more affordable price point. We at the Preston House and Hotel like to offer six appetizer choices, six entrée choices, and three dessert choices – giving our guests plenty of options. Long Island Restaurant Week in the spring is going to help restaurants wake up for what we think will be a very busy summer ahead.”
