Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue in Riverhead is launching a monthly Farmers Market that will be held on the first Saturday of each month. The inaugural market will take place on Saturday, April 3.
Shoppers will find an array of vino from One Hope Wines, small batch, handcrafted organic soap bars from Earth & Clay Soaps, sweets from Johnny’s Chocolates, and more.
Additionally, visitors can meet the animals that call the Riverhead-based horse rescue and rehabilitation home and learn more about Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue – whose mission is to rescue and provide a refuge for horses that have been abused or abandoned.
“Come enjoy the spring weather and help Spirit’s Promise support local businesses! Come shop our vendors, take a tour, meet our animals, and learn more about what we do here at Spirit’s Promise!” encouraged Jenny Turano, Spirit’s Promise Program Specialist.
The Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue Farmers Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a $5 fee for tours for members, $15 for non-members, and it’s free for children up to 2-years-old.
Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue is located at 2746 Sound Avenue in Riverhead. For more information, visit www.spiritspromiserescue.org.
