On Saturday, October 20, you can taste test a myriad of delicious homemade clam chowders during a seasonal comfort food competition hosted by the East Hampton Historical Farm Museum.

"Local restaurant chefs and home chefs will present their best chowders!" Jen Edwards of East Hampton Historical Farm Museum explained. "Purchase a mug for $15 to sample all the varieties and choose your favorite."

The East Hampton Historical Farm Museum Clam Chowder Contest will welcome entries from over ten East End-based eateries and amateur chefs. Restaurant that will vie for top honors include Nick & Toni's/Rowdy Hall, Harbor Bistro, Springs Tavern, Bostwick's, Wainscott Seafood Shop, and The Quiet Clam, while Bonac challengers include Sherrill Dayton, Billy Mott, David Rattray, Bob Cooper, and Ken Dodge.

G.E. Smith, Kyle Ballou, and Hy Mariampolski will serve as Clam Chowder Contest judges, deciding who takes home the award for Pro Chef winner and Home Chef winner. There will also be a People's Choice award.

In addition to the irresistible array of chowders, the afternoon will also feature live music, food and fun.

East Hampton Historical Farm Museum's Clam Chowder Contest will take place from 12 to 3 p.m.

East Hampton Historical Farm Museum, which pays homage to the "bonac" way of life, offers the opportunity to be transported back in time and explore the local farm life during the 1880s-1930s.
