With East End St. Patrick’s Day festivities occurring every weekend in March, you’ll probably be ready for a break from corned beef, cabbage, and Guinness.
So, join Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 at 78 Foster Restaurant & Bar in Hampton Bays for a SPAY-ghetti Dinner that supports SASF’s Advo-cat Program and Low Cost Spay and Neuter Mobile Clinic.
In addition to the delicious meal, attendees can take a chance on spectacular Chinese Auction items, and test their luck by purchasing 50-50 raffles.
“The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation is excited to announce our Third Annual SPAY-ghetti Dinner, a fun way for the community to come out and support our critical program to humanely deal with the overpopulation of feral cats in our area,” shared Jerry Rosenthal, Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation Executive Director.
Advo-cat, a Trap, Neuter & Release Program (TNR), addresses the area’s feral cat population by educating the public about the significance of sterilization, as well as providing vital veterinary services to the township of Southampton and surrounding communities. TNR is the most effective way to lower the number of homeless cats and kittens in not only local neighborhoods, but also in East End animal shelters.
“Support for this program provided the resources to spay and neuter 1,100 cats in 2017 and we hope to exceed that number in 2018,” Rosenthal explained.
Admission is $30, which includes dinner and two Chinese auction tickets. There will also be a cash bar.
“Join us for a fun night of prizes, spaghetti and fun!” Katie McEntee, Director of Adoptions at Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation, added.
Foster is located at 78 Foster Avenue in Hampton Bays. For tickets or more information, call 631-728-7387 or visit southamptonanimalshelter.com.
