Almond in Bridgehampton will welcome New York based photographer
Laurie Lambrecht during the next "Artists & Writers Night" on Tuesday, January 10th. Lambrecht's main focus is color, surface, form and texture.
"Could not be more thrilled to have Laurie Lambrecht lead us on a journey to see the world through her sharp and prophetic eyes," shared Almond Zigmund.
Lambrecht's work can be seen both locally and nationwide. She spent time as
Roy Lichtenstein's assistant in the early 90s and also worked on a collaborative project with
Robert Wilson during the early years of the
Watermill Center.
Last summer, Lambrecht was featured in
Water|Bodies - a group show at
Southampton Arts Center. Earlier in the year, her works were highlighted during
Cyanotypes - a solo exhibition at
The Drawing Room in East Hampton. Photographs from her
China series are on display at
Nick & Toni's Restaurant in East Hampton. In the fall, she began an artist residency Montello Foundation in Nevada, followed by the Ragdale Residency in Lake Forest, Illinois.
In addition to hearing from Lambrecht, attendees will enjoy a family style three-course menu that was created by executive chef
Jason Weiner.
"Artists & Writers Night" begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $45, which includes a glass of local wine or craft beer and reservations are required.
