On Monday, February 1st, the Southampton Rotary Club is hosting its annual Spaghetti Dinner at Southampton Publick House. From 12 to 9 p.m., diners will nosh on spaghetti with meatballs, salad and dessert while enjoying a special “Sinatra Tribute” by Beau Hulse.
“All proceeds benefit the Rotary Club’s Scholarship and Endowment Fund,” noted Tracy Collins. “The Southampton Rotary Club has awarded over 60 scholarships to high school students in our community over the past 6 years.”
The Southampton chapter of Rotary International was founded in 1995. The organization is dedicated to providing humanitarian service, encouraging high ethical standards in all vocations and helping foster positivity within the community by taking on the area’s challenges, such as feeding the hungry and mentoring local youth. Along with the Spaghetti Dinner, the Southampton Rotary Club is also involved with the SeptemberFest Friday night kick-off cocktail party, and a Firecracker 8k run and 3 mile walk. Previous fundraiser beneficiaries have included East End Hospice, Southampton Little League, Southampton Boy Scout Troop 58, Boy Scouts of America, Southampton Cub Scout Pack 14, Southampton Village Fourth of July Parade, Southampton Youth Athletic Association, Southampton Youth Group, Southampton Youth Services, Southampton Hospital, and the Special Olympics.
“Rotary depends on donations to continue the work we do in helping the local community,” added Collins.
