On Sunday, November 15th at 11 a.m., Guild Hall will welcome Winston Lyons, owner and chef of Winston’s Bar & Grill in East Hampton, as part of their popular Table Talk Series.
Lyons, who has spent time in the kitchen at several beloved East End eateries before opening Winston’s Bar & Grill earlier this year, will speak about his excitement for food and his craft. The talented Jamaican chef’s curiosity for cooking began while spending time with his grandma growing up. He further explored his passion during culinary school in Jamaica and bettered his skills as a line cook in one of Jamaica’s most popular hotels, the Wyndham, before moving to East Hampton.
During his time in the Hamptons, Lyons has worked at Bostwick’s, East Hampton Grill, East Hampton Point, and Turtle Crossing. For his own restaurant, the chef wanted to bring his unique Caribbean flair to the East End. “The menu features all of my creations many with a special Caribbean flavor,” he noted. “My Jerk Chicken, a traditional Jamaican dish, is best jerk chicken you will ever have.”
Admission to Table Talk: Dishing with Winston Lyons, Chef-owner of East Hampton restaurant Winston’s Bar & Grill, is free.
