Deborah Lukasik, owner of Southampton Soap Company, is leading a special workshop at Southampton Historical Museum’s Rogers Mansion on Thursday, October 15th at 6 p.m. Attendees will learn how to create the most divine pumpkin butter that you’ve ever tasted. The unique autumn flavor is the perfect addition to any fall gathering.
“Autumn is filled with color, and our table should be no exception,” shared Lukasik. “Use the bounty of foods from the fall harvest in all of your dishes to add seasonal flavors that are spectacular.” She says that pumpkin butter is a great addition to muffins, toast, and crackers with a dab of creme fraiche. As for a side, Lukasik recommends poultry.
Participants will leave with a jar of pumpkin butter that they can take home. Attendees will also be treated to wine and cheese, as they mingle with other classgoers.
“Join us as we make a simple pumpkin butter to bring the warmth and comfort of the season to your table in the chilly months to come,” said Lukasik.
Admission is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. Registration is required for the class.
The Rogers Mansion is located at 17 Meeting House Lane in Southampton. To register, call 631-283-2494 or visit www.southamptonhistoricalmuseum.org.
