“This is meant to be a celebration of a true fishing community,” 668 The Gig Shack front of house manager, Arden Gardell-Gross explained. “We’re bringing it back to this epic piece of Hamptons history.”
This summer, 668 The Gig Shack is welcoming Brooklyn-based, internationally touring muralist and musician Natalia Zukerman for a special tribute to “Jaws.” Zukerman will create a mural of Quint, the protagonist shark hunter from “Jaws,” on the fence of Gig Shack’s front patio. The artwork pays homage to the recently discovered fact that the cult favorite was actually set in the Hamptons, despite filming in Martha’s Vineyard.
The East End community is invited to watch the live art show, which will take place Wednesday, July 8th through Friday, July 10th. Attendees can sip on $3 Narragansett Beers, the brew of choice in “Jaws.” For a summer twist, they can try Narragansett Del’s Shandy, a combination of Narragansett’s gold medal Lager and Del’s lemon concentrate, a Rhode Island staple.
