The NCMPR is part of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and exclusively focuses on the marketing and public relations efforts of community and technical colleges. The awards were given at the NCMPR Annual Conference on March 14 through March 17 at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, NM.
The College's current advertising campaign, which includes testimonials from students who attended the College and transferred to four-year institutions, was reviewed by more than 75 judges and chosen from more than 1,700 entries from community colleges across the United States, Canada and other countries.
"We are pleased to receive this recognition and so very proud of our graduates," said Drew Fawcett, Associate Dean for Institutional Advancement. "We are fortunate because we have wonderful success stories to tell and, in today's times, our message that an exceptional college education doesn't have to be expensive resonates even more so." The campaign was created in-house by SCCC's Office of Institutional Advancement.
