Southampton- The local Hamptons Citizens 4 Humanity (C4H) chapter, in addition to the families in need they are delivering holiday meals to this month, have been alerted through their efforts with the Red Cross of four families that they consider to be in extreme crisis. These families were devastated by Hurricane Sandy and have literally lost everything.

According to Sheila Minkel of C4H, the families are currently living between shelters and are not eligible to receive aid from FEMA. Immediate help is needed as C4H is trying to raise a minimum of $3,000 per family for housing, clothing and food. Anyone interested in sponsoring one of these families can call Minkel at 631-626-8369 or send a donation to Citizens 4 Humanity, 3 Hawthorne Road, Southampton, NY 11968.
