There are still 248,285 LIPA customers without power. Currently there are 8,307 outages in Suffolk County which is affecting 113,084 people. For more information visit:www.lipower.com. To report a power outage call 800-490-0075, 631-755-6900 or text OUT to 695472.

The North Sea Transfer (1370 Majors Path, Southampton) and the Hampton Bays Transfer Stations (116 Hampton Rd, Southampton) will be open Tuesday, November 6 for individuals impacted by the Hurricane Sandy.

After being closed for a week, schools on the East End of Long Island resumed classes on Monday, November 5.

Many gas stations are out of gas or have no power throughout the tri-state area including many East End stations. For updated information on which stations have gas visit: www.longislandgasprices.com which is updated every four hours for some stations and hessexpress.com which updates every 20 minutes.
