Learn what WCBS-TV's Acquisition of WLNY-TV means for LI at the PCLI discussion.
This year WCBS-TV (CBS
2) acquired Long Island's WLNY-TV (Channels 10/55), find out how that will affect the community of nearly 3 million people on Long Island at a discussion sponsored by the Press Club of Long Island's (PCLI).
Key participants from the stations will be at the discussion to talk about their plans as well as the challenges and opportunities of covering the diverse Long Island community.
"Increasing the media presence on Long Island is always a good thing," said PCLI President Dominick Miserandino. "We welcome all these parties to discuss how this will affect the media landscape."
The discussion will be moderated by David North, WALK-FM and speakers will include David Friend, senior vice president news, CBS Television Stations, Betty Ellen Berlamino, vice president and station manager WLNY-TV, and Richard Rose, Long Island Bureau chief WLNY-TV.
The discussion will take place at Farmingdale State College University Club on September 27th, at 9:00 a.m.
