Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman Honored

- On December 15, Legislator Jay Schneiderman
(I-Montauk) was honored by the Hampton Bays Beautification Association during their holiday luncheon at Oakland's Restaurant
in Hampton Bays. This year's luncheon marked the non-profit's 25th anniversary.
During the luncheon the Board of Directors' presented Legislator Schneiderman with the Hampton Bays Beautification Association's "Angel of the Year" award for securing grants which have helped the association further their mission by enhancing the beauty of Hampton Bays. Schneiderman procured annual funding through Suffolk County Omnibus grants since taking office in 2004. Additional funding was obtained through a Downtown Revitalization Grant. The board of directors' also gave awards to volunteers that through the year make a difference to the organization.
"I am honored the Hampton Bays Beautification Association presented me with this recognition and I thank the group of volunteers for making Hampton Bays more beautiful for everyone in the community," said Schneiderman. "They have excellent vision and style."
