• 1,591,231 COVID-19 tests were administered, an addition of 15,586 tests
• 972 new cases were reported
• 69,996 total cases
• 4.4% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
• 5.5% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 5.7% positive on a 7-day average
• 6.2% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 6.3% positive on a 7-day average
Antibody Testing
• 31,499 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 tested positive for antibodies
• 300,959 in total have tested positive for antibodies
Fatalities
• 4 fatalities
• 2,093 total fatalities
COVID-19 Hospitalizations data from December 8, 2020
• 394 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 12 in 24 hours
• 45 were new admissions
• 67 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 4 in 24 hours
• 28 patients were in the ICU and intubated
• 36 were discharged since the last report
• 6,675 have been discharged since March 22
Hospital Capacity
• 2,998 hospital beds, 601 available, 20 percent
• 398 ICU beds, 94 available, 24 percent
