Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center’s Thinking Forward Lecture Series will continue on Friday, February 7 with Life Lessons. Presented in partnership with The Southampton Town Police Department, the evening will feature a discussion led by Milton Creagh, Motivational Speaker and Nobody Wants Your Child author.
“Our Thinking Forward Lecture Series has been growing and continually bringing together diverse audiences,” Bonnie Cannon, Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center director, noted. “We are grateful that The Center is helping to create important dialogues regarding race, different cultures and healthier lives for our families and community.”
Creagh will cover parenting in the new millennium. He will explore how parents process the information we come across on a daily basis and lessons we can take away from it – both good and bad. Creagh will also champion attendees to discover their passion and utilize that zeal to achieve goals.
“Every new conversation is good for The Center and all our diverse communities,” Cannon shared. “Bringing folks together, educating and inspiring stronger community- that has always been the goal of our series.”
During his youth, Creagh found solace in the speeches and sermons of Martin Luther King and Adam Clayton Powell. Now, Creagh’s own words inspire the lives of hundreds of thousands of students globally each year.
“We are looking forward to hearing Milton Creagh speak this coming Friday,” Cannon added. “He will be sharing his life experiences and his work to help inspire lives.”
There is no fee to attend the Thinking Forward Lecture Series, but RSVPing in advance is requested. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the Lecture begins at 6 p.m. In addition to the lively conversation, refreshments will be served.
