If you've been meaning to take your four-legged family member on more outdoor strolls, October will bring several pet focused East End benefit walks.

Southampton Animal Shelter's 3rd Annual Paws on Parade (southamptonanimalshelter.com) will take place at Rogers Mansion (17 Meeting House Lane, Southampton) on Saturday, October 5. The fun-filled family celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and culminate at 4 p.m. The event will feature an agility course, contests, auctions, the chance to meet the cast of Bay Street's Frankenstein Follies, face painting and much more. At 12 p.m., attendees may partake in a stroll from the Rogers Mansion to the Bathing Corporation beach, a twenty-three minute walk each way. Additionally, St. John's Church will host its "Blessing of the Animals".

The Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance (www.facebook.com) is hosting its second annual dog walk on Sunday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The "Sag Wag N' Walk," a fundraising event, will begin and end at Havens Beach (Havens Beach Road, Sag Harbor). In addition to the stroll, there will be fun, games, contests and prizes.

The following weekend, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons' Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk (arfhamptons.org) returns to Mulford Farm (10 James Lane in East Hampton). The two-mile stroll will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 12 and registration opens at 9 a.m. Following the walk, there will be refreshments, free nail clippings for dogs, contests, a dog agility course, and music. Participants will receive a free t-shirt with artwork by Isaac Mizrahi.
