In addition to its spring and fall festivals, the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce will introduce its Inaugural Summer Festival in Herrick Park on Saturday, August 17.

"We are extremely proud of the progress we've made as an organization, more importantly as a community," Glenn O. Vickers II, Board President of East Hampton Chamber of Commerce, reflected. "All of our partners including the Village of East Hampton and Town of Hampton have been incredibly supportive. Without their help, we would not be able to create these experiences."

The Festival will highlight all the places to dine, stay, shop and play in the Hamptons.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock and the 1969 Summer of Love, attendees will enjoy live music featured during Woodstock Music Festival. Local bands playing include Potter/Tekulsky Band and The Space Bandits featuring Klyph Black.

With over 50 booths showcasing local artists, shopkeepers and non-profits, the Festival will also take over the downtown park.

Current board member and former President of the Chamber, Steve Haweeli, added, "We're very excited to introduce an affordable summer festival to locals and visitors alike. We thank the Village for its cooperation in making Herrick Park available. There'll be plenty to do for kids; plenty to eat for all and over 50 booths to browse. It should be a blast!"

Local village eateries will be open all day offering specials and local craft beers. Onsite, the Festival will offer many delicious bites, including wood-fired pizza, tacos from Mattitaco, gourmet chocolate-covered ice cream sandwiches from Hamptons Chocolates and much more.

The tremendous YMCA KIDZONE will be the highlight for younger visitors. Featuring a giant American Ninja inflatable course, a 30-foot climbing rock wall, lawn hockey and so many more fun activities, kids will not want to leave the Festival.

The Bedside Authors Reading Booth will welcome several notable authors, including Patricia Gussin (Come Home), Laura Holman Byrne (Tater Tot at the Chase: A Happy Helper), Jeanne McWilliams Blasberg (The Nine), Natalie Banks (The Canary's Song), Gregory Zeigler (Travels With Max: In Search of Steinbeck's America Fifty Years Later), Nicola Harrison (Montauk), and Odete Martins Bigote (A Cosmic Journey to The Unknown).

"Bedside Reading is celebrating its second anniversary and we are celebrating our indie authors this month," Jane Ubell-Meyer, Bedside Reading Founder, relayed. "What better way than to introduce them at this fabulous festival where art of all forms is celebrate to an appreciative audience?"

"I'm very excited to participate in the East Hampton Summer Art & Music Festival. We have so many great authors and artists in the Hamptons and to have them all in one place is a unique and special event," Patricia Gussin, New York Times Best-Selling Author of Come Home, reflected. "I'm looking forward to meeting them all and to greeting my fans."

There will also be the opportunity to relax or workout during a meditation, yoga and Pilates classes.

The East Hampton Summer Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
