Over Mother's Day weekend, Newtown Lane and Main Street will serve as the backdrop for East Hampton Village's highly anticipated second annual Street Fair.

Over 50 booths, featuring local artists, shopkeepers and more than 30 non-profits, will line Newtown Lane on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the Main Street Stage will showcase live music all day. Tunes will range from bluegrass to folk to rock n roll, and more - with Lynn Blue Band and Back in Time, a Huey Lewis and the News tribute band, headlining. So, for those who have waited until the last minute to find something special for mom, it'll be a piece of cake with the wide variety of spectacular locally made offerings. And, if you haven't purchased or created a homemade gift yet, you probably haven't gotten a card yet either - making Golden Eagle Arts' complimentary "Make a Mother's Day Card" station on the lawn of Eileen Fisher a must.

"It's a true community event to celebrate spring, as well as to showcase our wonderful businesses and organizations," Steve Ringel, President of East Hampton Chamber of Commerce - who is sponsoring the event, relayed.

Kids will have their fair share of fun at the KIDZONE, where they can scale the climbing wall, bounce around in the jumping castle, get some new "ink" from face painters, get crafty with arts and crafts, and more.

Pollock-Krasner House, Children's Museum of the East End, Hamptons International Film Festival - who will be selling rare movie posters, the East Hampton YMCA, East Hampton Historical Society and East Hampton Trails Preservation Society are among non-profits that will be represented.

"After 26 years with an office on Newtown Lane, we are delighted the Village has continued a community gathering where everyone can celebrate spring together," said Executive Director of Hamptons International Film Festival Anne Chaisson. "With this spring season kick-off, HIFF can also share all the exciting programming planned for summer and the annual Film Festival in the fall; including the 10th Anniversary SummerDocs series with Alec Baldwin in partnership with Guild Hall, as well as filmmaking workshops, sneak peak screenings and the Summer of Spielberg screening series with Southampton Arts Center."

"Our team at the Y is excited to join the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce and so many other businesses to host this robust family friendly experience on Newton Lane," added YMCA Executive Director Glenn Vickers.

In addition to all those exciting happenings, this year's festival will feature a food court with lobster rolls, shrimp po-boys, BBQ from Townline BBQ, handmade fried gourmet wantons, wood-fired pizza, and homemade beef jerky from Greenport Jerky, homemade pickles from Perfect Pickle, handmade chocolates, baked goods and premade sandwiches and salads from Mary's Marvelous and handmade pretzels. Village restaurants will be offering craft beverages and additional sips will be provided by Sam's Beverages. Local eateries will also be offering specials throughout the day.

If you need a break from all the excitement, head to Eileen Fisher on Newtown Lane where yoga and stretch classes will be taking place on the lawn.

And, when you're strolling through the Village, don't forget to visit Ladies Village Improvement Society, Guild Hall and other businesses that will be participating in sidewalk sales.

For those dreading parking, it'll be a breeze - as Hampton Free Ride will be providing a shuttle service from the John Marshall Elementary School parking lot.
