For the first time in Hampton Designer Showhouse history two homes were featured this year. Located at 78 and 82 Rosko Lane, collectively known as The Fields, in Southampton, approximately 7,000 visitors explored the grand estates, which were on display July 23 through September 4.
Part of the admission fee supported Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, and on Monday, December 18, Hampton Designer Showhouse, Inc. Board Member Brian Brady, who is also President of Brady Design, presented a check to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Chief Administrative Officer Robert S. Chaloner and Southampton Hospital Foundation President Steven Bernstein for $150,000, which was raised during this year’s Showhouse.
“We’re extremely grateful for the Hampton Designer Showhouse’s ongoing philanthropy, which is vital for supporting our programs and services,” expressed Chaloner. “The Hospital is very lucky to be the beneficiary of this wonderful annual event, and we’re excited to see what will be showcased next year.”
Since Hampton Designer Showhouse’s inception 17 years ago, nearly $2 million has been pledged to the Hospital through sponsorships, daily attendance and designer contributions.
“Over the years, it has been such a terrific experience to work with Southampton Hospital and to watch Hampton Designer Showhouse grow into a great event that happens every summer,” reflected Tony Manning, President, Hampton Designer Showhouse Foundation, Inc. “It is an exceptional partnership.”
