A top-notch fall festival often offers tasty refreshments and autumnal activities for every age. In addition to these, Bideawee’s seasonal festival will be offering love and kisses–that is from some furry, four-legged friends that are currently residing at the pet welfare organization as they await adoption. At the “Fall in Love” Festival, there will be adorable and adoptable cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens of all ages and sizes looking for forever homes.
The event will take place on Sunday, October 29 at Bideawee’s Westhampton Adoption Center from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be attractions for humans and pets, including vendors – like With Whom We, an upscale boutique that sells handcrafted bandanas, leashes and collars, and Westhampton’s Pawcasso who will be selling pet costumes, treats from The Inn Spot Out, Noah’s On The Road, and Ben & Jerry’s, music by DJ Michael of East End Entertainment, giveaways, dental checks from the Animal Hospital, free dogs treats from Hill’s, face painting, pet portraits by Dee is for Dogs, a Dog Park Open House, pumpkin painting, and more. All adoption fees will be waived for the event.
“Fall is a gorgeous time out east and we’re thrilled to invite the community to join us for our ‘Fall in Love’ festival in Westhampton which will include fall activities, food, giveaways, fun for the whole family, and of course, adorable animals to fall in love with,” says Amy Brostoff, the associate director of marketing at Bideawee.
Additionally, a Bideawee volunteer will be administering Canine Good Citizen tests and Trick Dog Tests for those who bring their dogs.
Bideawee, a non-for-profit, was founded in 1903 and was the first no-kill animal rescue in the United States. It does not euthanize any of its animals unless the animal has an incurable illness and is suffering. Its mission is “to be Greater New York’s leader in rescuing, caring for, and placing homeless cats and dogs with people who love them.”
In recent weeks, the organization put its good efforts towards transporting and helping find homes for many dogs and cats rescued from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, many of whom have already been adopted. This wonderful organization is able to operate thanks to support from the community. There are currently locations in Wantagh, Westhampton, and New York that offer a number of services and animal care.
Admission to the “Fall in Love” Festival is free.
Bideawee Westhampton is located at 118 Old Country Road. For more information about Bideawee and its upcoming event, please visit www.bideawee.org or call 1-844-568-3738.
