will be observing National HIV Testing Day on Tuesday, June 27 by uniting with partners, health departments, and other organizations to raise awareness about the importance of HIV testing and early diagnosis. HIV testing at Southampton Hospital's David E. Rogers, MD Center will be offered for free and confidentially on this day.
"The CDC recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care," stated Michael Collins, Program Director of the David E. Rogers, MD Center. "About 1 in 7 people in the United States who have HIV don't know they have it."
