This summer, Hampton Racquet will host "Give a Kid a Summer" - a charity tag sale event benefiting Project Most. But, before the Big Tag Sale can take place, the two organizations are looking for tax deductible donations of antiques, wines, artwork, kayaks, surfboards, china, glassware, and other collectibles and treasures.

"Project MOST is very excited to be partnering with John and Monica Graham of Hampton Racquet to raise money for our summer expansion program at Most Holy Trinity Catholic School in East Hampton," said Rebecca Morgan Taylor, Executive Director of Project MOST. "The proceeds from this sale will allow us to serve twice as many children for an extended time frame for longer hours each day with an academic enrichment program that prepares our children for the new school year. Our tuition is affordable and financial assistance is available."

The inaugural "Give a Kid a Summer" will take place at Hampton Racquet on Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday, June, 4. The family event will be filled with food, beverages, and tons of activities for kids, and the main event - the Tag Sale.

"Hampton Racquet is proud to support Project MOST and the incredible work that they do. This summer program is an opportunity for children to make valuable use of their time and prepare for the new school year," explained John Graham, Owner, Hampton Racquet. "They will learn while having fun and participating in activities that inspire and engage them. Hampton Racquet is happy to host this tag sale and we welcome the community to our club and hope that they will enjoy a beautiful day of family, fun, food and, of course, the Big Tag Sale! Hampton Racquet believes that business owners and nonprofits should work together on projects like 'Give A Kid A Summer' and so much more!"

Project MOST, founded in 2001, is an afterschool program that gives children the opportunity to become lifelong learners. They serve as a critical resource in the East End community and help prepare this generation of students to meet the rigorous demands of today's educational standards. Project MOST is affordable and enriching. The goal of the program is to ensure that no child or youth is home alone in the community after school. They serve over 400 children in East Hampton every day and more than 70 percent of the students are of Spanish and Latin descent, many of them speaking little English. Project MOST serves students who come from single parent families and most of the families are seasonal workers who get laid off in the winter months. Many families are also on full or partial scholarships.

The deadline to donate Tag Sale items is Wednesday, May 31. Items can be dropped off at Hampton Racquet.

Hampton Raquet is located at 172 Buckskill Road in East Hampton. For more information, call 631-655-4586 or visit www.projectmost.com.
