On Saturday, May 7th, several East End organizations will come together at the Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE) with the mission of connecting children to nature during the 7th annual Peconic Family Fun Day. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. attendees will learn about the East End's ecosystems, estuaries, and environments from local experts.

"We are absolutely thrilled to host the 7th Annual Peconic Family Fun Day and partner with so many amazing organizations," said Liz Bard, the Museum's Education Coordinator. "The environment is part of the reason why the East End is so incredibly special and this event allows kids to share in that appreciation while having fun."

The morning will include a variety of entertaining and educational activities that cover water management, agricultural sustainability, recycling, and environmental stewardship. Family Fun Day guests can play games, meet critters, channel their artistic side at arts & crafts stations, explore a seed planting station, take part in a taste testing, listen to music, and much more.

Participants will include Amaryllis Farm, Amber Waves Farm, Bhumi Farms, the Children's Museum of the East End, Country Lane Gardens of the Hamptons, Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt, Good Water Farms, Hampton Library, Long Island Aquarium, Peconic Land Trust, Quogue Wildlife Refuge, Ross School, Southampton Hospital's Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center, and the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo).

"The Peconic Land Trust is thrilled -- for the 7th year - to take part in CMEE's Peconic Family Fun Day," added Kathy Kennedy, Outreach Manager, Peconic Land Trust. "It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with families in the community and to share the wonder and joy of nature and our agricultural heritage. We look forward to it every year!"
