"The End" is preparing to celebrate the autumn season during the 34th Annual Montauk Fall Festival, sponsored by the Montauk Chamber of Commerce, which will take place over Columbus Day weekend.

"This is Montauk Chamber's biggest fundraising event of the year, it is our 34th Annual Montauk Fall Family Festival," shared Laraine Creegan, Executive Director of the Montauk Chamber of Commerce. "The Chowder contest is an event in itself, as hundreds of people want to taste the phenomenal chowders presented!"

The family-friendly East End event will debut on Saturday, October 10th during its Famous Clam Chowder contest at 11 a.m. Fight the brisk fall weather by warming up with a variety of memorable chowders from local restaurants, available "until it runs out," typically around 1 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Festival will feature children's activities such as inflatable rides, face painting, pumpkin decorating, street painting, crab races, Carousel rides and more. Attendees can also enjoy yummy Oktoberfest offerings, clams and oysters, Long Island wines and beer. Support East End artisans and farmers by picking up locally made goods at the Montauk Farmers Market, held in the tent on Saturday and on the street on Sunday. And make sure not to miss sets from local favorites. Gene Casey and The Lone Sharks is headlining on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. and the 3 B's will perform on Sunday from 12 to 3 p.m.

On Sunday, the happenings will conclude with additional activities under the tent, like the annual auction by the Montauk Playhouse and the Chamber's annual Cash Catch drawing, which will take place at 4:30 p.m. Cash prizes up to $20,000 will be awarded.
