is finally upon us, so here are ten holiday weekend Hamptons happenings to celebrate.
North Sea Fire Department
's 70th Annual Carnival will kickoff the Hamptons 4th of July events, with fireworks on Wednesday, July 1st and Friday, 3rd at 9 p.m. The Carnival will be held at Firemen's Field (149 Noyac Road, Southampton). For more information, call 631-283-3629.
Another early 4th of July festivity is Southampton Fresh Air Home
's American Picnic with Fireworks by Grucci. The 28th annual picnic benefit will be held on Friday, July 3rd (with a rain date of Sunday, July 5th), from 7 to 10 p.m. Along with the amazing fireworks display over Shinnecock Bay, attendees will enjoy a tasty, traditional American picnic, and food carts with popcorn, ice cream, hot dogs, and other delights. General Admission is $300 and a children's ticket is $150. The yearly celebration raises over 40 percent of the Home's annual program expenses, in support of a specialized recreation program adapted for physically challenged children, the majority of whom will receive scholarships to attend. 's 4th of July Parade will step off at 10 a.m. The parade, which is the largest Independence Day parade on Long Island, begins at Railroad Plaza, continuing down North Main Street, Main Street, Jobs Lane

Following the Southampton Village Parade, join Southampton Arts Center

Join Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons
for a July 4th BBQ and Open House at the Adoption Center (91 Daniels Hole Road, Wainscott), from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will also include low cost vaccines for $10, including microchipping, rabies, bordetella and cat and dog distemper, and a free ARF

Sag Harbor Yacht Club
(SHYC) is presenting their annual "John A. Ward Independence Day Fireworks" on Saturday, July 4th." Named in memory of one of the club's most beloved members, the SHYC tradition will blast off at approximately 9:30 p.m. The best spots to watch the Grucci firework display include Marine Park, Haven's Beach, and of course the Long Wharf. Montauk Chamber of Commerce

's Stars Over Montauk

Devon Yacht Club
(300 Abrahams Landing Road, Amagansett) fireworks display will take place on Saturday, July 4th at 9:15 p.m. While the club is private, the display will be visible locally.
Westhampton Country Club
(35 Potunk Lane, Westhampton Beach) is holding their annual fireworks on Saturday, July 4th at 9 p.m. Another member's only display, the show will be visible from the Great Lawn and most of Westhampton Beach.
Southampton Rotary Club
is holding their annual Firecracker 8K Run and 3 Mile Walk on Sunday, July 5th, at 8 a.m. The race begins and ends at Agawam Park in Southampton. Entry is $25 (proceeds benefit the Southampton Rotary Scholarship Fund) and runners/walkers must register by Saturday, July 4th. For more information, visit firecracker8k.com
