On Saturday, April 18th, South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) is paying tribute to Earth Day with a beach cleanup, an open house, and the chance to get up-close and friendly with the animals.

Join SoFo Executive Director Frank Quevedo for a Beach Cleanup at Long Beach in Noyac from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The morning event will help East End wildlife by ridding the debris and garbage that is incredibly dangerous to local birds and marine life.

South Fork Natural History Museum is holding a free Open House from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by the Museum to explore interactive exhibits, meet local reptiles, amphibians, and fish, and attendees can dip their hands into the marine touch tank.

From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., museumgoers of all ages can meet the Fabulous Nature Nick and his live animal family. Long Island News 12's resident animal expert, Nature Nick is bringing a plethora of exciting animals including a kangaroo, monkey, snake, bird of prey, and a few surprises during the live animal presentation. Reservations are required for the presentation.

South Fork Natural History Museum is located at 377 Bridgehampton/ Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton. For more information, call 631-537-9735 or visit www.sofo.org.
