Congressman Tim Bishop recently launched “Do More,” a television campaign that highlights Bishop’s success in fighting to protect Long Island jobs and his overall commitment to middle-class families.
“I believe in investing in middle-class families by funding high-tech research, job training and more math and science in our schools,” Congressman Bishop said. “That’s how you create good-paying jobs – not by protecting tax breaks for millionaires, opposing equal pay for women and privatizing social security.”
The campaign specifically features Bishop’s work to protect jobs at the Brookhaven National Lab when Congress pushed to cut the institution’s funding. Employees of the Lab describe Bishop’s fight against the cuts and explain how he saved 1,000 jobs from being lost.
