Madison & Mulholland's beloved Hampton Gift Bag program has been enhancing East Enders' summers for the past 16 years. Now, the program has turned a new page and will be expanding its reach across the country to 5-star luxury hotels.
This summer's 2017 Hampton gift bag program placed 67 bestselling books throughout the Hamptons' favorite hotels, including Southampton Inn in Southampton, The Mill House Inn in East Hampton, and Baron's Cove in Sag Harbor. It was also available to the public, who could pick one up at Lucille Khornak Gallery. Founder Jane Ubell-Meyer saw there was a great thirst for these books and decided to bring them to the bedsides in luxury hotels across the United States.
"I love to travel. For me, a wonderful book is the perfect traveling companion," remarked Ubell-Meyer. "I am always sharing great books, talking about them with my friends and now I can take my love of reading and share it thousands of hotel guests each month."
The "Bedside Reading" program is placing bestsellers and advance reading copies in hotel rooms at The Mandarin Oriental New York, Mandarin Oriental Washington D.C., Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, The Peninsula Beverly Hills, The Simpson House Inn in Santa Barbara, and The Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles, Florida. Now guests across the country will enjoy the complimentary book service throughout their stay.
Guests can expect two to four bestselling books directly in each room. Books are complimentary and available for each guest to take home. Several hotels will also be offering Madison & Mulholland reading glasses that are available for purchase.
