Harvey Weinstein lingered in front of works by Picasso, Chagall and Warhol at the Opera Gallery opening of its new three story building on 791 Madison Avenue. Gallery Founder Gilles Dyan, who has galleries in 12 major international destinations including Paris, London, Geneva, Monaco, New York, Miami, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Beirut and Dubai, presided. Chantal Kerzner, Greg Calejo, acclaimed Spanish painter Lita Cabellut, and others were among the 200 guests filling the 4,000 square foot gallery. Simultaneous to Thursday's opening event, the gallery also exhibited at the tony Spring Masters New York show at the Park Avenue Armory.

The Madison Avenue grand opening show featured 26 contemporary and modern art masterpieces, including: Jackie (1964) by Andy Warhol; Enseigne de Lunettes (1976) by Alexander Calder; Le Cirque au village (1966) by Marc Chagall; Tête de femme (Dora Maar) (1944) by Pablo Picasso; Flowers No. 13 (2007) by Ai Wei Wei; and Reached up to Heaven - Dotted Pumpkin (2012) by Yayoi Kusama; amongst other blue-chip works. Curated by Gilles Dyan, PREVIEW will present more than 30 paintings and sculptures. The exhibition, which opened during New York's Art Week, will remain on view through June 5th.

With this move, all three of Dyan's Opera North American Galleries Miami, Aspen and New York have now relocated to the heart of uber luxury shopping, better to showcase his blue chip treasures. The galleries are now repositioned in the pinnacle of commerce crossroads, parallel to the luxury markets.

Miami Beach's Media Maven Tara Solomon (Tara, Ink. PR), who handles all Opera's North American Press, brought together the very glam crowd.
