The East Hampton's Nature Conservancy
's "Nature Inspires!" Beaches and Bays Gala will be held on Saturday, June 28. The benefit will celebrate 20 years of support from The Andy Warhol
Foundation for the Visual Arts, and honor Bobbie Braun
and The Neuwirth foundation.
"The Nature Conservancy is one of the finest organizations I have been involved with. I believe helping people ultimately, is the highest level of good work, and The Nature Conservancy's core mission is exactly that," Braun said.
The event will be held at The Center for Conservation and will feature the premier of Jimmy Buffett
's "My Favorite Island," an en plein air art show curated by Silas Marder
, dancing to famous Nashville
band "The Super T Revue," and dinner provided by Glorious Food Catering.
Held to inspire guests to protect the Long Island's famous lands and waters, all proceeds will directly benefit The Nature Conservancy on Long Island and their mission to protect and restore the Island's natural areas including bays, harbors and woodlands and encourage people to take action.
"We know that if we change the way our waste water is handled, if we upgrade septic systems and sewers across Long Island, we're going to have healthier water, we're going to have healthier fish, and beautiful places to enjoy," Executive Director of The Nature Conservancy, Nancy Kelley said. "What excites me the most right now is we've got everybody's attention, and everybody is saying, we want to work together to solve this problem."
Individual tickets to the event are valued at $750 and tables range from $12,000 to $25,000.
The Center for Conservation is located at 142 Route 114 in East Hampton. For more information, visit www.nature.org.
